SOMS has been recently mentioned in The Clinica Magazine, Year II, Nr. 5 (August 15th – November 15th 2010), p 66-76, in a bilingual interview of student Alexandra Constantinescu, President of SOMS. The interview is reproduced integrally online with the redaction’s approval and can be read here.
“What exactly did research mean? What was the practical purpose of a PhD in the case of Med School graduate? Those were things I didn’t exactly understand back then. Therefore, I can only say that my first contact with biomedical research (experimental medicine) happened during a scientific session organized by the Scientific Organisation of Medical Students (SOMS). I was fascinated by the scientific presentations of the students who showed a clear imaginative mind and a creative manner of approaching any subject. And those students were doing research.”
On this occasion, SOMS invites the students who are interested and curious about biomedical research to contact us and find out how to join our team!
